Randy man’s leg chopped off by lover’s husband

By MUTINDA MWANZIA, Posted: Mar 17, 2012

A man who was recently caught red handed with a married woman is nursing serious injuries. The woman’s furious husband, who caught them pants down in his house, chopped off his leg in Gatundu, central province of Kenya.

The husband, a taxi driver who operates in Limuru, armed himself with a machete after receiving a tip-off from relatives on the not-so-silent and disturbing coup in his home.

He pounced on the lovers under the cover of darkness at Njahi village in Njahi sub-location of Gatundu North District and vented his fury on the intruder, severing his left leg and knocking out his front teeth.

The wife was not spared either as she received a severe beating, losing several teeth in the process in addition to other injuries.

The 30-year-old man was admitted at the Gatundu District Hospital in serious condition.

According to neighbours, the 32-year-old taxi driver had all along been suspicious of his wife.

He had reportedly been receiving information that the woman, aged 25, was cheating on him with a neighbour for some time, while he was away braving the Limuru cold and toiling to put bread on his family’s table.

In the time proven catch-a-thief sneaky strategy, and to establish if the allegations were true, the driver decided to drive home unannounced at night.

Finding the door to their iron sheet-walled house locked, he could not bear the thought of losing important evidence by waking up his wife with a knock on the door.

Shocked

Instead, he chose the crude but rather effective way of gaining immediate access into the house by hacking through the iron sheet wall.

And true to his suspicions, evidence that she had been taking him for a ride all along lay before him — the two lovers shocked beyond belief.

That was when hell broke loose. Disappointed at the reality of sharing his young wife with another man, the husband pounced, raining blows and kicks on the pair.

The wife got a beating so severe that she lost several teeth besides sustaining other injuries.

Armed

But according to a resident of the village, the intruder was armed with a knife and had not gone down without a fight. He also hurt the man of the house by stabbing him on the head and leg and it’s believed it’s at that point the cuckolded man hacked his leg off. The resident says the trio was treated at Gatundu District Hospital and, contrary to reports that he had fled, the man later appeared before the police alongside his wife and intruder.

A medic who attended to the injured man said the patient would undergo further amputation to save his leg, which had multiple cuts.

Gatundu OCPD Peter Kattam confirmed the incident. It’s, however, not known which of the two men will end up with the 25-year-old beauty they both loved and fought for.
