Lowell mayor Patrick Murphy endorses Elizabeth Warren
Press Release, Posted August 23, 2012
LOWELL, MA –Mayor Patrick O. Murphy, an independent, today endorsed consumer advocate Elizabeth Warren for United States Senate. Mayor Murphy said Elizabeth will fight to create a level playing field for Massachusetts’ working families in Washington.
“It’s clear that Elizabeth will be a strong and independent voice for families here in Lowell and across the Commonwealth,” said Mayor Murphy. “She has already proven that she will work with anyone who stands on the side of working families and small businesses, and will fight to create a level playing field so that everyone who works hard has a fair shot at success.”
Mayor Murphy endorsed Elizabeth during a visit to Ramalho’s West End Gym in Lowell.
“I’m proud to stand with Mayor Murphy and working families here in Lowell,” said Warren. “For too long, Washington has been rigged to work for those who can hire an army of lawyers and lobbyists, not for working families and small businesses. I’ll fight to make sure families in Lowell have a voice in Washington.”
