Teresa traveled from Kenya to the US on 12/16/14 for further medical treatment due to an aneurysm that developed as a result of undergoing brain surgery on 11/5/14 at the Aga Khan Hospital Nairobi, Kenya. Teresa underwent surgery to correct the aneurysm on 12/19/14 at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania and was discharged on 12/24/14. She was recovering well at her daughter’s home, unfortunately on 12/28/14 Teresa developed complications and was rushed to Crozer hospital and then airlifted to the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania. He lived a quiet and peaceful life, going about doing his family business until Wednesday this week when gunmen decided to cut down his life right outside his house.

He was rushed to hospital but unfortunately Peter did not make it. Hence it is with much sadness, sorrow and regret that we announce the sudden and untimely demise of Njoroge, a friend to Springfieldians, and especially to those who enjoyed his goat barbecues during his tenure with us here.

The late Njoroge was a brother to Jane Njau, PA, Damaris Kongo,Ludlow, MA Dee Muthua,  Springfield, MA Mama Njeri Palmer,MA Margaret Muguku (Bui) of Granby, and John Mwangi (Bosco) amongst others. He was a brother-in-law to Kongo, Charles Muthua, Robert Muguku and George Ngugi (Machismos) all of Springfield. Njoroge's close family and friends are meeting daily at the Kongo's every evening at 39 Allison Ln., Ludlow, MA 01056.

Four members of the family will travel to Kenya for the funeral and burial of the late Peter. They need our support, both financial and spiritual.
Please let us come together this Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 4 p.m. to offer our assistance, encouragement, comfort and love to this grieving family.

Peter passed away at the young age of 46. He is survived by his dear wife, Sarah Muthoni and two lovely young men as well as his loving mother.
Let us condole with this family during this their time of need (Ps. 46:1ff).
